Sales Manager – Wine Distribution
Mur Wine is a dynamic and growing distributor of natural and low-intervention wines, dedicated to expanding the presence of authentic, sustainable winemaking. Our portfolio includes carefully selected wines from Portugal and beyond, and we are committed to educating the market, building strong client relationships, and driving sales through quality and storytelling.
Job Description:
* We are actively growing in Portugal and expanding internationally, which is why we are looking for a Sales Manager to help us build and strengthen our sales operations.
* Conduct regular client visits to expand our network in the HoReCa (restaurants, wine bars, hotels) and retail sector.
* Aquire new clients monthly, ensuring both initial and repeat orders.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, sommeliers, and wine buyers.
* Work towards achieving and surpassing sales targets and revenue milestones.
* Organize and lead wine tastings and training sessions for clients and their teams.
* Represent Mur Wine at industry events, trade fairs, and networking gatherings.
* Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective brand communication.
Responsibilities:
* Keep all client interactions, meetings, tastings, and sales updated in our CRM system.
* Provide weekly reports on progress, including new clients, follow-ups, and completed orders.
* Join two team calls per week for strategy alignment and performance tracking.
Requirements:
* Experience in sales, preferably in the wine industry, gastronomy, or HoReCa sector.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Passion for natural and low-intervention wines, with a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work independently and proactively, structuring your own schedule.
* A driver's license and access to transportation is a plus.
* Fluency in Portuguese and good English skills (Spanish, French is a plus).
