Your role
We are looking for an Audit Manager to join our audit team in Portugal. In this role, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of audit engagements in interaction with teams across EMEA. With the support of the local Head of Audit, you will be responsible for providing insights to stakeholders, leading the audit team to bring audit outcomes of excellent quality.
You will identify trends and themes patterns in results, develop audit reports and influence key stakeholders in broader actions. How you will make an impact
1. Keeping the business safe by leading the execution of a portfolio of audit engagements end-to-end, including global audits across different regions with the support of the local Head of Audit
2. Building learning and apply professional judgement in planning and risk assessment activities, determining the right audit scope, key risks to be addressed and most suitable audit techniques and approaches alongside the local Head of Audit and regional Audit Leads
3. Creating a collaborative and supporting team spirit while overseeing the quality of outcomes
4. Guiding, coaching, and supervising the work of the team throughout the audit engagement
5. Influencing the business by agreeing actions and delivering the final audit report, with support from the local Head of Audit, when needed
6. Contributing to the Group Audit global team through sharing own technical knowledge and engaging in our continuous training program
Your skills and experience
7. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or professional qualification;
8. 5-7 years of significant proven experience in Audit / Risk Management / Compliance or significant experience in insurance business positions;
9. Strong knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, internal control framework and audit testing;
10. Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, guide and coach the team to deliver on time to high quality standards;
11. Experience in leading teams within complex international organizations with multiple cultures and in a hybrid working environment;
12. Excellent relationship management skills with proven ability to interact with stakeholders from all seniority levels and build business relationships;
13. Ability to influence teams and senior management executives;
14. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional European languages is a plus;
15. Collaborative, flexible, persistent, and results-oriented mindset;
