Opportunity: Global Sustainability Specialist The Global Sustainability Specialist plays a key role in supporting a global facilities management program, helping drive sustainability actions, culture, and reporting in alignment with the client's Global Sustainability targets.
This role requires strong data collection and analysis skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and the capability to support and advise site managers on sustainability initiatives in both Food and Facilities Management (FM) operations.
The specialist will work with site managers and operational leaders across four global regions, covering technical sites, commercial offices, and manufacturing locations. Collaboration with technical, technology, and communications teams—both within Sodexo and on the client account—is a key part of this role.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage facility management sustainability programs;Develop and support Scope 3 greenhouse gas measurement and reduction initiatives, ensuring compliance with carbon accounting and client reporting standards;Engage with regional teams to develop sustainability roadmaps, identifying high-impact opportunities;Assist sites in selecting and implementing energy, water, waste, and sustainable sourcing initiatives in food and FM operations;Support the development of conservation initiative proposals, including scope of work, benefits analysis, and return on investment calculations;Provide expertise in waste reduction planning;Create monitoring tools to track sustainability initiatives and report progress to the client;Communicate sustainability topics and solutions to educate the Sodexo team and clients;Review best practices from Sodexo client sites worldwide and drive innovation in sustainability strategies.What You Need to Succeed: Relevant degree in a sustainability-related field;2 to 3 years of experience in sustainability topics, including greenhouse gas accounting and impact measurement;Strong analytical skills to evaluate the financial and environmental impact of sustainability initiatives;Experience using technology reporting platforms such as Power BI;Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;Ability to collaborate with site teams and senior stakeholders;Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills in a dynamic work environment;Positive, proactive, and innovative mindset with the ability to propose and implement solutions;Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What We Offer: Hybrid work model and flexible working hours;Health & Life Insurance;Meal allowance paid via card;Additional paid leave (birthday, volunteering day, extra vacation day);Access to 6,000+ free online courses;Professional growth opportunities within Sodexo;Participation in multicultural projects;Well-being initiatives to support our teams.Apply now!
