We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our company in one of our projects, in Lisbon.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer eager to learn new technologies and manage large complex systems that enjoys working in a multi- disciplinary team to join our agile product development team. You will help the team define the technologies for our PaaS, provision process and tools, how to scale, deploy, run, monitor and manage our products across all environments. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, qa and production environments in a timely manner.
Tasks:
Deploy and maintain the core infrastructure and systems that constitute our internal engineering platform;
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the tools and enablers that best serve our product/engineering needs and provide an awesome developer experience;
Tackle technical challenges and troubleshoot issues, improving our platform and its services and tools at every opportunity;
Create and maintain the relevant documentation for peers and users (e.g. handbooks, tutorials);
Work closely with other senior engineering teams, supporting onboarding and advocating for best practices, assist debugging production outages and devising improvement actions, grasping a great understanding of current usage and potential new use cases;
Support our commitment with high availability and reliability, taking part of a 24x7 on-call production support (Second support line).
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years in the same functions;
Knowledge of how clouds work (AWS and Azure);
Desirable background in infrastructure and network Work Arrangement;
Good understanding working on large-scale complex distributed systems event-driven based;
Command of Linux systems administration;
Knowledge performing common tasks of database administration (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL);
Knowledge on virtualized compute infrastructure (VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, Clouds (AWS and Azure);
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and relevant config management/automation tools (e.g. terraform, ansible);
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines for software lifecycle and infrastructure provisioning (e.g. GitLab, Nexus, Jenkins);
Knowledge or experience using logging, metrics, monitoring and tracing technologies and systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Vector, Open tracing);
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages and building software to solve practical challenges (e.g. Golang, python, bash); Understanding of IP networking;
Positive and solution-oriented mindset, curious to experiment new technology and always eager to learn new skills;
Availability for weekly support prevention (one week per month);
Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).
