International renewable energy company is seeking a Project Planner to be responsible for creating and managing project schedules and plans for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery projects. The Planner must gather timely information from all running projects within the company as well as upcoming opportunities.
Your responsibilities will be:
Project Scheduling: Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, defining project scope, establishing timelines, and tracking progress. Understanding company deadlines, overlapping general project programs, and anticipating peak workload periods to optimize resource allocation.Resource Planning: Creating and updating overall project programs. Planning and coordinating resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Following up on task progress.Risk Management: Identifying and managing project risks, analyzing potential delays, disruptions, and cost overruns. Developing mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure smooth execution.Cost Estimating: Developing and updating project cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, ensuring projects remain within budget. Identifying baselines and reporting deviations.Stakeholder Management: Communicating project schedules and progress to stakeholders, including project sponsors, teams, and customers, while managing expectations. Identifying delays and critical paths, suggesting alternative strategies to improve and accelerate timelines. Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to obtain deadline inputs and actively seeking new suppliers and managing sales contacts.For this position, it is mandatory that you have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar fields. You must have:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as PMI's PMBOK or Agile.Experience with project planning and scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera.Experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically in project planning and management.Excellent time management skills, being able to manage multiple projects at the same time.Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory, and Spanish is a plus.The candidate can be based anywhere in Portugal or Spain, as the job will be hybrid.
