The role:
As a Backend Engineer, you are part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions;
2. Developing unit, component, and integrated tests with the guidance of the team's QA - you can expect to execute the full software development lifecycle;
3. Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code to solve business needs and deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform;
4. Testing and documenting the implemented solutions will be a big part of your day-to-day;
5. Mentoring other developers, peer programming, and guiding them on the tasks;
6. Availability for on-call responsibilities.
Your Qualifications – Must Have
At least 5 years of experience in Java;
Previous team management experience;
Experience with some or all of the following:
* Scala;
* Kafka;
* Akka;
* Memcached;
* Apache Storm;
* Apache Cassandra;
* Zookeeper;
* RabbitMQ.
Familiar with client-server protocols such as SOAP and REST;
Experience with design patterns, and encourage the use of reusability techniques.
