.Job Title: Sales Manager - Alcoholic BeveragesLocation: PortugalRole Overview:We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to expand our presence in the Portuguese retail sector, specifically in supermarket chains, specialty beverage stores, and the HoReCa segment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in alcoholic beverage sales, an exceptional understanding of the market, and a passion for craft products.Key Responsibilities:Identify and secure new business opportunities with chain retailers, specialty beverage stores, and in the HoReCa segment throughout Portugal.Prospect new customers by conducting market research and seeking sales opportunities to expand the customer base.Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase brand awareness and market penetration.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key retail buyers, distributors, and existing customers to nurture loyalty and encourage repeat purchases.Conduct product presentations and tastings to demonstrate the qualities and benefits of our products, focusing on customer needs.Negotiate and close sales by discussing prices, payment terms, and ensuring deals are favorable to both parties.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to adjust strategies accordingly.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute advertising campaigns.Follow up on after-sales to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues or questions post-purchase.Train and motivate sales personnel to achieve sales targets and improve performance.Prepare sales reports and provide sales forecasts to management, recording all sales and identifying areas for improvement.Comply with all rules and laws related to the sale of alcoholic beverages.Participate in training to stay updated on products, sales techniques, and market trends.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent business experience.- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the alcohol industry.- Proven experience in sales and market development, working with chain stores and HoReCa establishments.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.- Ability to work independently with a focus on results and interact effectively with team members.- Knowledge of alcohol market trends and regulations.- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales software.- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Fluency in Portuguese and English.- Willingness to travel within Portugal as needed.How to Apply:If you are passionate about premium craft beverages and have the skills to help grow the market and increase sales, we would love to hear from you!
