As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of industrial instrumentation and control systems by planning and managing technical interventions, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, and validating calibration and maintenance records for pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems used in pharmaceutical production.
* Instrumentation & Control: Maintain and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level control instruments, as well as pneumatic actuators and motor-driven systems.
* Electrical & Automation Systems: Diagnose and repair issues with PLCs, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), relays, and industrial wiring.
* Work with low-voltage and control circuits to ensure proper equipment operation.
* Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Service and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and pneumatic valves. Troubleshoot issues in air compressors, vacuum pumps, and pneumatic conveyors.
* Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation and setup of new instrumentation, motors, actuators, and automation systems in production and utility areas.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, and FDA regulations for all maintenance and repair work.
* Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and equipment logs.
Qualifications:
* Education: Associate’s degree, trade school certification, or equivalent experience in Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* Experience: 2+ years in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or automation within a pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or chemical manufacturing environment. Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
* Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems used in automated production lines. Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
