Job Description:General Responsibilities:
In charge of all Immigration Related Matters, Passengers Embarkation documentation, Vessel Clearance, Passengers Departure and Arrival Manifests, Communication with port Agents in all Ships Hotel related Matters and ensuring proper communication flow as per Company Procedures.Must be able to deal with crew and passengers in a professional manner.Must be a good organiser and communicator and feel comfortable working with crew of different nationalities.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and work to established standards.Must have strong character with developed leadership skills.Must have pleasant disposition and friendly personality.Must have high degree of patience and understanding.Cabin Occupancy Control in conjunction with the Guest Service Manager.Luggage: Assist the Guest Service Manager and Chief Housekeeper and liaise with Agents regarding lost luggage.Familiarity with the ISM Manual and assist any audits carried out in the Department.Supervise and control the embarkation/disembarkation process of passengers in coordination with the Hotel Director, Guest Service Manager, Cruise Director, and Security.Coordinate with the Financial Controller regarding passenger account payments.Communicate daily with Financial Controller, Guest Service Manager, and Hotel Director during departmental meetings.Handle all passenger comments quickly and professionally.Identify and report hazardous situations in the department, including Medical, Customs & Immigration, and ports formalities.Manage Departure/Arrival Manifests, Vessel's clearance, and Passengers' ID.Perform end of cruise reports and analysis according to the preset scheme.Manage passengers accounting matters.Financial Responsibilities:
Ensure that the cashbook and safe content are 100% accurate and balanced at all times.Be cost conscious with the use of materials and consumables.Ensure that Company property is maintained properly and treated with respect.Qualifications:
Certified medically and physically fit.Good command of the English language; German is a plus.Knowledgeable in ISM / ISO, MLC, and SQM Matters.Very strong administrative skills required.Strong organisational background and experience in managing crew benefits and housing is essential.Minimum of 1 year of seagoing experience on board the vessel type or other adequate experience.Previously held position of Administration Purser, Accountant, or Documentation Purser onboard a passenger cruise ship.Minimum of two years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.Superior customer service, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and oral communication skills.Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers, and copy machines.Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and ability to navigate within various software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to perform basic math functions regarding Customs and Immigration.Experience in managing Payroll is mandatory.Team Communication and Meetings:
Check notice boards daily for relevant information. Attend all meetings and trainings.Attend meetings with the Guest Service team regularly.
