Job Description:
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) department at Capgemini. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving technical aspects of CIM projects across the company value chain, external suppliers, and partners.
Your Mission:
You will lead multi-disciplined and cross-functional projects primarily related to product improvement in the wind energy sector.
* Investigate failures reported from turbines in the field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers.
* Drive root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleet.
* Align with all affected stakeholders, including module owners, service, construction, legal, and finance teams.
* Engage in dialogue with suppliers/manufacturers of affected components.
* Identify short and long-term actions to reduce the effect of failures.
* Drive the development of improvement solutions and create testing specifications.
* Prepare inputs for customer and stakeholder communication.
* Develop inputs for business cases.
* Initiate the creation of necessary Design Change Orders and update DFMEA.
Your Profile:
We are looking for someone with:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
* Proficiency in DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-Sigma methodologies, SCRUM, and gate models
* Knowledge of working with engineering drawings and electrical circuit drawings
* Experience with CAD tools and SAP
* Strong analytical skills
* Fluency in English (written and oral)
* 10+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering
* Field experience in the Wind Industry, especially with Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), is highly preferred
* Exposure to multi-cultural and international organizations
* Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
* Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in a technical environment
