ROLE DESCRIPTION
The IT Network Specialist is part of a global Network Specialist team that is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and stability of SBM’s IT Network solutions. This team provides technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, monitor the network landscape, proactively seek improvements of SBM’s network both locally and globally, and work with IT Project Managers to implement new solutions when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS
In order to support, govern and contribute to a fully integrated and aligned IT Strategy across the SBM organization, you are to:
* Work with telecommunications and network team to implement and/or maintain Cisco Unified Communications systems including but not limited to CUCM, UCCX, IM&P, Finesse, Jabber, Voice Gateway, etc.
* Provide advanced support with Cisco's IP Telephony and all related Cisco IP telephony infrastructure.
* Act as a voice project resource for office moves and new facilities, including coordination of circuit installations and turn-ups, design call flows.
* Implement and maintain Cisco Room Kits for video conference services.
* Troubleshoot Cisco Networks to diagnose root cause and resolve voice issues.
* Collaborate with the IT Enterprise Architect team on solutions.
* Contribute to the strategy of Group IT&S, making suggestions for improvement where required.
* Maintain all collaboration/voice related documentation and working instructions in the central repository.
* Ensure quality and accurate information of network assets in the CMDB.
* Interface and support the Security, Software, and System teams in solving cross-discipline complex problems that involve the network disciplines.
* Participate in providing process and configuration evidence for security and ICOSIT audits.
* Monitor network systems for outages, utilization thresholds, and lifecycle to take proactive actions.

* Keep the IT community informed on any new initiatives and decisions taken that might have an impact on day-to-day business.
To ensure that you understand and manage your stakeholders and their requirements as well as having assigned activities completed successfully, you are to:
* Understand, plan, and deliver assigned tasks with accuracy to meet stakeholders’ needs in a timely manner.
* Identify areas requiring more detailed instructions and clarify as necessary with stakeholders.
* Complete every task in compliance with applicable policies, standards, and work procedures.
* Identify areas for potential risks and proactively communicate with stakeholders to resolve.
* Share information and provide guidance as required.
* Actively seek clarification or guidance as soon as difficulties arise for alternative solutions.
* Perform thorough self-check of all solutions prior to release for use by stakeholders.
* Properly plan work to allow adequate time for stakeholder feedback and be able to adjust.
* Produce consistent and organized documentation in a well-structured format to convey required information to stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a network role.
* Familiarity with on-premise and cloud environments.
* Cisco certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Enterprise, and/or CCNP Collaboration.
* In-depth knowledge of Cisco collaboration products and technologies including CUCM, Webex Teams, Webex Meetings.
* Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, H.323, VLANs, QoS, etc.).
* Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Proactive, energetic, independent, self-motivated, and able to manage complexity.
* Required to work after office hours or on weekends when necessary.
* Collaborate with remote peers and stakeholders all over the world.
* Good written and oral English communication skills.
