About this Job
Arborea is looking for a Finance and Administrative Assistant. The person will be assisting with tasks around accounts payable, site management and other administrative tasks for the Arborea Group, which includes companies in Portugal and the UK.
The candidate will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles, a strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform corporate and business accounts payables processes and logistics, including managing the purchase order systems, communicating with vendors and employees, receiving and uploading invoices to the accounting portal, accruing bills in the correct period, coding bills to the appropriate accounts, coordinating approvals, vendor management, administering payment runs, logistics management and communication with couriers.
* Provide support and assist the CEO, Finance Director, Management Accountant and other senior management with their tasks and activities.
* Assist in the month-end close accounting operations, including accounts reconciliations.
* Support all team members with reasonable requests in relation to logistics, human resources and office management.
* Be a team player and be willing to take on ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting/finance; qualified management accountant and relevant work experience is a plus.
* Experience in administrative finance, especially accounts receivable, is a plus.
* Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
* Attentive to accuracy and detail, strong belief in personal responsibility and accountability.
* Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem-solving.
* International finance experience preferred, but opportunities will exist to develop this area of expertise.
