Tasks
* Provides general assistance in complying with personal data protection regulations in the Iberian Peninsula in the Linde Gas' different companies.
* Participate in quarterly Compliance Committee meeting and make regular reports about the status of the data privacy management system (Local CRB)
* Autonomously maintains local DPPOs in the One Trust system to keep it up to date and creates new Processing Activity Records together with the DPPOs. Align regularly with DPPOs to identify new and review existing personal data processing activities as required. (Done monthly – Actively scheduling meetings with the DPPO’s & Business function)
* Verifies the lawfulness of personal data processing activities and promotes the necessary changes to consent autonomously in alignment with local legal counsel for other legal matters and HR.
* Carries out impact assessments together with the DPPOs, with external support when necessary.
* Supports creation and negotiation of clauses for contracts involving personal data processing, such as data processing or joint control agreements for external and internal personal data transfers and assists in the documentation of internal data transfers in accordance with the Linde Group's internal data transfer framework in close cooperation with local legal counsel and corporate data privacy team.
* Documents & manages together with relevant business functions incidents of personal data breaches in OneTrust, according to internal procedures, and in alignment with the group's data protection officer.
* Monitors the local business’s personal data protection mailbox and responds to data subjects on data subjects’ rights and other data privacy questions and complaints based on support by relevant business functions. Supports other departments with incoming questions on data privacy, .
* Responds to data privacy incidents registered on the ISQR management platform in accordance with the mandatory deadlines, both to guarantee their resolution and to provide support to the business areas.
* Creates and updates local data privacy procedures in liaison with the relevant DPPOs.
* Provides training to the DPPOs on specific local data protection issues, in accordance with the procedures that the local company has implemented, either in Portugal or in Spain.
* Provides support to the general compliance function, being the local contact in Portugal for compliance issues and liaising with external entities (lawyers, when necessary).
* Responds to internal and external personal data protection audits and work together with business on closing audit findings.
Requirements
* Full fluency in English (oral and written).
* Proficiency in mother tongue (Portuguese or Spanish) and reasonable knowledge of non-mother tongue (Portuguese or Spanish).
* Relevant legal knowledge of GDPR and local personal data protection law.
* Knowledge of the organizational structure and relevant stakeholders in the Linde companies to which you are appointed.
* Maintain expert knowledge through external training and acquire certification in personal data protection relevant to the company to which you are assigned.
* Ability to work autonomously and pro-actively and seek to acquire new local knowledge to answer questions from the business areas.
* Ability to manage data privacy projects and/or acquire the necessary knowledge to manage projects relevant to the specialty.
* Experience of working with OneTrust is a plusLiaise with REW data privacy & compliance coordinator, EMEA Compliance Officer, Corporate data privacy team, EU data protection officer, and local legal counsel where required.
