Responsibilities - your mission:
Airbus is preparing for a successful future and for the next generation of zero-emission aircraft with the implementation of a new industrial setup. It will lay the foundation of Airbus' future entrepreneurial success and thus contribute to long-term job security.
At the heart of this new industrial setup is the bundling of all aerostructures assembly activities in a strong aerostructures assembly company in Germany. Combining these activities is intended to make processes more efficient, stabilize the industrial system and improve competitiveness in the long term.
You will be working within the procurement team of Airbus Aerostructure (ASA). The team is responsible for a large number of central purchasing activities, supply chain quality and other activities like process management, data analytics or digitalisation.
In your role as ASA Procurement Data Analyst you will be responsible for identifying, supporting and providing solutions to data analytics needs for ASA Procurement. It will also give you the opportunity to discover many key strategic projects/initiatives and work with many different stakeholders within and outside of ASA Procurement.
Main responsibilities:
* Capture and analyze data analytics needs from the business
* Data preparation, data modeling, data science, reporting and dashboarding
* Support the definition, enhancement and implementation of a procurement data model
* Develop proof of concepts/prototypes with a strong focus on predictive and prescriptive analytics to support existing and new initiatives e.g. Supply Chain Digital Twin, Artificial Intelligence
* Develop, test and implement the most suitable analytical models to identify meaningful patterns or trends from complex data sets and types
* Analyze and improve regularly the accuracy of models against business needs
* Communicate findings through effective and easy-to-understand data visualizations
* Support the coaching of the teams in the data-driven mind-set
* Actively contribute and share best practices, findings, and techniques with the wider data community
* Eliminate non-added value activities by proactively automating recurrent analytics and performance management tasks
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have/be:
* Education to degree level (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, IT or Business Administration with specialization in statistics, business intelligence, advanced data analytics / Big data business project deployment and/ or Procurement and/or Information technology or related discipline
* Interested in data, curious about how to help others understanding what you do
* Data analysis skills (such as Python, Palantir Foundry (Skywise) ,Jupyter, SQL/SQL Server, Qliksense, SAP Lumira Designer…)
* Mathematics, Statistics, Economics knowledge
* Ability to analyze large datasets
* Team player with entrepreneurial mindset
* Good communication and presentation skills at all levels
* Strong ability to interact and Influence
* Basic experience in project management
* Language Skills: Negotiation level of English, German would be a plus
* open to some travel (mainly Germany) as required
