Nortempo Porto is currently looking for a Reporting Analyst (m/f) for a client in the area of Porto.
RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS
Responsibilities in Business scopes (Overheads / Supporting functions):
1. Help the business pillars Reporting teams by:
-Assist preparing the quarterly Management Reporting deliverables;
-Lead the Budget and forecast processes for departments allocated to you and track their actual performance vs forecast and budget;
-Analyze and challenge the actual performance of projects/vessels and departments allocated to you and forecast their yearly performance;
-Load data in the reporting software and review the reporting submission (by project, vessel and department);
-Follow the budget / forecast preparation in close relation with department/internal projects managers and business controllers;
-Prepare a cashflow view of the departments under your responsibility;
-Contribute to the preparation of the Financial sections of the quarterly reporting for the Finance Director and Board of Management;
1. Work closely with Accounting challenging Actual performance and smooth the closing process to remove material errors and ensure reporting accounts are well represented;
2. Build relationships with stakeholders across various levels of SBM and provide financial information for decision-making in a timely manner;
3. Contribute to the standardization and automation of current procedures, becoming a relevant stakeholder in ad-hoc projects, outside your day-to-day activities, focusing on efficiency gains and Reporting opportunities;
4. Develop an helicopter view of the business performance and storytelling skills;
5. Partnering with Business leaders across various levels of the organization on matters impacting the financials under analysis;
6. Become a relevant stakeholder in ad-hoc projects, outside your day-to-day activities, focusing on efficiency gains and new Reporting opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. University Degree in Economics, Business school or equivalent finance degree with strong focus on financial reporting;
2. 3 to 5 years of experience in an international audit firm and/or in a reporting position with an international environment;
3. IFRS knowledge (is a plus);
4. Fluent in English (both written and verbal);
5. Proficiency in IT tools, especially Business Object, accounting tools and Excel;
6. Strong Excel skills with the ability to handle data in an efficient way, demonstrating the ability to identify key business drivers;
7. Ability to automate analysis and specific procedures;
8. Ability to work with many interlocutors including non-financially literate ones;
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
10. Appetite for innovative solutions;
11. Good analytical skills and critical thinking, with the ability to work with large data sets while having a “helicopter view” when necessary.
