Job Description:
The Port of Barcelona's Muelle Sur Container Terminal is 100% owned by APM Terminals and has an annual throughput capacity of 1,560,000 TEU. APM Terminals is committed to major investments in further upgrading terminal infrastructure and container handling equipment over the coming years to enable the terminal to handle the largest container ships in service.
APM Terminals Project Execution has commenced the ramp-up of a multi-year project with a focus on civil & electrical engineering deliverables, including quay wall, land side rail beam, and furniture upgrades. This project presents a significant challenge due to the need for simultaneous operations, including multi-shift, marine, and land construction works around operational berths within a busy port area.
The Project Controls Lead is responsible for establishing, driving, and overseeing the project control and management structure, data, processes, tools, and reports required to understand past, current, and forecasted project performance. This role enables the project team to make informed decisions and ensures that the organization can oversee and steer the project as needed.
