About This Role
This full-time position is based in Lisbon and involves working as an Information Technology Manager on-site.
The IT Manager will oversee the IT department, manage IT projects, maintain systems and networks, and ensure data security and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems;
* Monitor and perform preventive maintenance on all IT systems to ensure optimal performance;
* Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, operational staff, and guests, resolving any IT-related issues promptly;
* Liaise with and supervise external IT service providers, ensuring that their services meet standards and requirements;
* Implement and manage IT security protocols to protect the hotel's data and systems from cyber threats;
* Install, configure, and maintain software applications, ensuring that they meet operational needs;
* Maintain and troubleshoot the hotel's wired and wireless networks, including structured cabling systems (UTP-FIBER);
* Report possible IT upgrades or new technologies to improve operations and guest services;
* Evaluate whether all IT systems comply with company standards, regulations, and policies;
* Provide training on the use of IT systems and software, promoting best practices in efficient technology usage and cybersecurity awareness.
Requirements
* Technical skills in network management, system administration, and cybersecurity;
* Experience in project management and IT infrastructure planning;
* Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting operating systems (e.g. Windows 10/11, Windows Server), Office 365, CCTV systems, Opera PMS/Simphony POS, and other hospitality management software such as NONIUS IPTV solution, CONCEPT system, Infraspeak, AssaAbloy/Visionline;
* Strong knowledge of LAN Network/Server Support administration, AD/DC, and IT infrastructure;
* Ability to manage IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations;
* Ability to manage and control the application of the annual IT budget for each asset;
* Flexibility to travel on a schedule and be on standby for emergencies;
* Proven experience in IT management, preferably in the hospitality sector;
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified);
* Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies;
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities;
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
* Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or PMP are a plus.
