Job Title: Assistant Professor in Pharmacognosy
The University of Coimbra is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a position as Assistant Professor in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences, specifically in Pharmacognosy.
This is a permanent full-time position at the Faculty of Pharmacy, with 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pharmacognosy and experience in teaching and research.
We are looking for a candidate who can contribute to the development of the scientific field, through high-quality research and teaching. The selected candidate will be expected to publish their research in top-tier journals, participate in national and international collaborations, and teach undergraduate and graduate students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research in Pharmacognosy and related areas, leading to publications in top-tier journals.
* Teach undergraduate and graduate students in Pharmacognosy and related subjects.
* Develop and lead research projects, securing funding from national and international sources.
* Promote the University of Coimbra's reputation in the scientific community.
Requirements:
* PhD degree in Pharmacognosy or a related field.
* At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in research and teaching.
* Publishing track record in top-tier journals.
* Experience in supervising PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
