Sr. Electrical Engineer (Electrical Vehicle Chargers), Amazon Maintenance Operation Centre (EU AMOC)
Amazon Central RME is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers to become part of a global engineering team, responsible for the maintenance of the Amazon Electrical Vehicle Chargers (EVC) network.
As an EV Charging Operations Manager at Amazon, you will lead and oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our extensive EV charging network. You will be responsible for achieving world-class uptime and customer satisfaction through effective maintenance strategies and swift issue resolution. This includes developing and implementing maintenance protocols, managing escalation procedures, and communicating operational decisions to Senior Management while driving continuous improvements in service reliability.
You should have extensive hands-on experience in EV charger maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. A strong understanding of both hardware and software components of various charging systems is essential, along with the ability to effectively diagnose complex technical issues and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Your tasks include conceiving, initiating, and leading projects with widespread impact on the EV chargers network. This will be achieved by breaking down complex problems into straightforward and actionable solutions, working with internal teams to understand user requirements and challenges, and collaborating with teams or individuals from other disciplines, cultures, and countries. You will escalate issues as required and communicate clearly and effectively at the appropriate level of detail with people from a wide range of technical abilities and backgrounds.

As a subject matter expert in EV charging systems maintenance, you will develop training programs, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards while managing and mentoring your team of specialists.
Key job responsibilities:
* Oversee complex electrical troubleshooting and repair projects, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
* Analyze electrical failures and performance data to drive continuous improvement in maintenance strategies.
* Create and implement electrical project plans that enhance network reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
* Develop and standardize electrical maintenance procedures, ensuring optimal performance of EV charging infrastructure.
* Drive operational excellence by developing and implementing maintenance strategies, KPIs, and quality control measures.
* Establish and maintain escalation protocols for complex technical issues across the charging network.
* Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers on technical solutions and equipment upgrades.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
* Design and lead electrical preventive maintenance programs and charger reliability initiatives across the global network.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience in operations management, preferably in maintenance or technical support.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and charging infrastructure maintenance.
* Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
* Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience specifically with EV charging infrastructure maintenance and operations.
* Master's degree in relevant field or MBA.
* Previous experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment.
* Certification in project management or relevant technical certifications.
