Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist with a strong background in programming, hospitality systems (PMS), and technical support. The candidate should also have deep technical expertise in .NET frameworks, database management, and software development, with a proven ability to ensure compliance with Portuguese regulations for financial and tax software. This is a critical role that requires an innovative and collaborative mindset to enhance our IT capabilities and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
System Management and Development
* Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Property Management Systems (PMS) and other hospitality software.
* Design, develop, and implement desktop, custom web, and mobile applications in a .NET environment.
* Write high-quality code that meets customer requirements and ensures smooth integration of IT solutions into daily operations.
Programming and Technical Expertise
* Develop reusable libraries, implement N-Tier applications, and work on architectural patterns.
* Manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server and perform data optimization tasks.
Compliance and Legalization
* Ensure all software complies with Portuguese laws for financial and tax reporting, liaising with local authorities when needed.
* Stay updated on regulatory requirements and provide strategic advice on software-related legal matters.
Technical Support and Collaboration
* Provide technical support, resolve complex issues, and recommend product improvements.
* Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other team members on multiple projects.
* Ensure compliance with documented software processes and procedures throughout the software lifecycle.
Innovation and Industry Knowledge
* Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT and introduce innovative practices.
* Familiarity with the hospitality industry or the ability to quickly learn its requirements is essential.
* Expertise in the latest .NET frameworks and proficiency in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET with MVC knowledge.
* Familiarity with design patterns, architectural patterns, and code versioning tools like SVN or VSS.
* Experience in Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) or Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) certifications is a plus.
* Strong skills in troubleshooting, code reviews, and writing technical documentation.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Technology or related disciplines.
* Experience:
o Minimum 2 years of experience with ASP.NET C#, .NET 3+ or .NET 4.0, and MS SQL Server.
o Strong background in writing reusable libraries, technical documentation, and implementing N-Tier applications.
* Languages: Fluency in English.
* Additional Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
