A day in the life of a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Americas) at VF looks a little like this.
The Americas financial planning and analysis group serves as the critical support for the Vice President, FP&A Americas for the analysis and presentation of all strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the entire Americas Region.
This role will serve as a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and the primary responsibilities are to understand, analyze and present the Americas monthly forecasts and the annual plan; establishment of best practices for financial analytics practices in the Americas region; and support FP&A transformation initiatives in the Americas region. In order to succeed, this individual will utilize relationship building, leverage team capabilities and strong analytical skill sets as well as understand the strategy across all brands and their impacts within the Americas region.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
* Interpret, analyze, consolidate, and present the Americas financial results and operating metrics for monthly forecasts and plan, providing insights on the business performance at the aggregate level.
* Determine and identify risks and opportunities for all brands and channels within each unique country.
* Create and establish financial best practices across all Brands in the Americas by understanding each brand's strategies, impacts within each channel and return on investment retail strategies.
* Support reporting and prepare presentations of Americas financial results in preparation of quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
* Support key strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests for Americas Senior Management.
* Leveraging your team’s capabilities and skillsets, delegate, challenge and guide team to complete complex finance initiatives accurately.
* Ownership of operating metrics reporting in collaboration with the Business Intelligence group.
* Partner with peers on the development of Forecasts through Predictive Analytics in collaboration with VF’s Digital and Technology team.
* Ownership of the relationship with the Corporate FP&A team in relation to communication of financial performance for the region and support of ad hoc requests.
* Ownership of Flash reporting for the Americas Region.
* Understand and provide analytics on weekly DTC business performance for the region.
* Understand and provide analytics on the marketing return on investments in the region.
* Primary point of contact for VF’s Global reporting team in relation to the Americas region.
* Key member of business and finance transformation initiatives challenging and evolving current ways of working.
* Finance approver for Americas region strategic investments, including but not limited to M&A work, retail footprint and strategy, SLT meetings, marketing headcount and T&E.
* Partner with the accounting team to align on all management accounting activities and ensure best practices are followed.
* Manage analysts assisting their development through mentoring, teaching, support of department initiatives, and a positive attitude.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
* BA/BS in Business, Finance, or other related discipline.
* Experienced financial and performance analysis skills.
* Strong leadership skills to guide, challenge and develop team.
* Strong financial skills required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong financial modeling skills, especially income statement and cash flow analysis.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Outstanding PC skills in Microsoft environment, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation capabilities.
* Ability to work closely with the Finance and Operations staffs while driving a results-oriented culture and an atmosphere of accountability.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team player.
* Highly organized & achievement-oriented.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
* Ability to effectively present findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
* Fortune 500 publicly traded company experience in a matrix organization strongly preferred.
* MBA or CPA preferred.

Hiring Range:
$93,312.00 USD - $116,640.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
