The Field Service Representative (FSR) is the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs ensuring that our customers’ equipment operates efficiently at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. You are the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs ensuring that our customers’ equipment always operates efficiently.
2. Support customers and company employees onsite, over the phone and/or via remote connections, analyzing and trying to anticipate future or incipient issues.
3. Your biggest challenge is to quickly immerse yourself with all the knowledge in medical linear accelerators and learn about all the technical specificity of such a complex machine.
4. Document all customer iterations on Salesforce Unity system and complete the rest of administration tasks.
5. Given the extreme criticality of Radiotherapy Equipment, you will work on a flexible timetable, adapting your schedule to optimize clinical availability of our systems.
6. Be prepared to travel 30% of the time with occasional hotel stays away from applicable area.
Requirements:
7. We will strongly value having some experience as service engineer in, preferably healthcare equipment, or any other type of complex service activity, with proven strong analytical and logical abilities.
8. Biomedical / Electronics / Mechanics/ Telecommunication / Physics or IT degree
9. Advanced IT skills, being able to troubleshoot complex Network, Hardware or Operating System issues.
10. Ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
11. Handling pressure & effectively dealing with challenging situations, by understanding customer’s needs and displaying excellent communication and customer facing skills.
12. Fluent in Portuguese and English.
