Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at {company}.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections and assessments of handling equipment, pneumatic and/or mechanical/electrical installations, grinding, mixing, and pressing lines, bag filling, feed and fertilizer systems, bulk loading, weighbridges, and silos based on scheduled checklists.
* Perform corrective maintenance activities and restore defects identified during inspections in a timely manner.
* Report potential flaws to superiors with detailed descriptions of the issue's nature and severity, propose solutions to prevent future or recurring problems, and ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and machinery.
* Order necessary spare parts and materials for maintenance purposes.
* Carry out planned maintenance activities of more extensive and complex nature during scheduled downtime, potentially supervising technicians from external parties.
Malfunctions and Repairs
* Troubleshoot malfunctions and defects in equipment, machinery, measuring systems, and other installation components.
* Assess the extent and nature of the problem, determining whether immediate repair is necessary and evaluating potential causes and solutions.
* Perform emergency repairs, disassemble equipment/machinery as needed, and make required changes in consultation with the supervisor.
* Carry out extensive repairs at scheduled times according to prepared plans and instructions (disassembly/assembly, part replacement, adjustment).
* Collaborate with colleagues on complex jobs and potentially supervise external technicians.
Modifications and Improvements
* Implement modifications and overhaul work based on work orders and instructions from supervisors.
* Suggest improvements to equipment, machinery, and other areas based on expertise and experience in maintenance.
* Consult with management on quality issues, technical problems, etc.
* Order the production of specific components from drawings.
* Perform various techniques (welding, lathe work, machining) as needed.
Reporting and Compliance
1. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in relevant maintenance management systems, ensuring complete administration and insight into equipment state and history.
2. Work in accordance with all applicable safety regulations and procedures, as well as technical standards.
3. Identify potential hazardous situations and take appropriate action in cases of imminent danger.
