About This Role
As a Lead Content Designer at OutSystems, you will be at the forefront of shaping how our customers and users experience our low-code platform. You will lead the development of content strategies that deliver clear, consistent, and engaging experiences across all touchpoints of our product.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, Engineering, to craft content that not only guides users but also inspires them to innovate with our platform. You'll bring a deep understanding of user needs, combining research, creativity, and design principles to develop content that simplifies complexity, elevates user confidence, and drives adoption.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Content Strategy Development: Define and execute content strategies that deliver clear, consistent, and engaging experiences across the OutSystems platform, including UI text, in-product messaging, help documentation, and educational materials.
2. Drive User-Centered Content: Craft content that meets the needs of diverse users, simplifying complex concepts and empowering them to succeed with our low-code platform.
3. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers to seamlessly integrate content into the product development lifecycle, ensuring a unified and intuitive user experience.
4. Co-shape Content Standards: Establish and champion content guidelines, principles, and workflows that align with OutSystems' brand voice and values, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
5. Act as a UX Writing Expert: Lead the creation of microcopy, UI text, error messages, onboarding instructions, and other in-product communications to guide users through their journey with confidence and ease.
6. Mentor and Support the UX Team: Provide guidance and mentorship to designers and writers on content design best practices, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
7. Leverage Research for Insights: Use data, user feedback, and research to continuously refine and optimize content for clarity, usability, and effectiveness.
8. Champion Innovation in Content Design: Explore new tools, trends, and methodologies to push the boundaries of content design, ensuring OutSystems stays ahead of the curve in delivering exceptional user experiences.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related fields, with a strong focus on user-focused content.
* Deep understanding of content strategy, UX writing, and information architecture principles.
* Proven ability to write for different audiences and contexts, from microcopy and UI text to detailed product guides and educational content.
* Proficiency in establishing and maintaining content standards, style guides, and workflows.
* Strong empathy for users and a commitment to solving real problems through content.
* Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, Engineering, and Marketing.
* Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma)
* Experience working in agile environments and with iterative design processes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate and defend content decisions.
* Bonus: Knowledge of low-code platforms, software development processes, or related technical domains.
