We are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer (FPGAs) to join our team and work with us in developing, producing, and testing Radio Frequency (RF)/Wireless Communication hardware and software solutions.
Together we will build an operational Satellite Communication (SATCOM) system ready to fly to space in 2025 and demonstrate, in a real testing scenario, its capabilities to provide IoT connectivity to ground devices.
You should be comfortable working in a small team, with a significant share of autonomous work, in a dynamic startup environment. You will also be expected to work collaboratively across different domains, to rapidly develop and scale high-quality products in a rapidly evolving market.

Job Responsabilities
The main responsibilities associated with this position are:
* Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve firmware solutions for FPGA and Microcontrollers based products and systems.
* Debug, integrate, and test embedded firmware in FPGAs and Microcontrollers.
* Collaborate in the concept development for complex functions and systems.
* Work closely with colleagues from HW, SW and RF Engineering to solve problems.
* Participate in all stages of the firmware lifecycle including architecture, coding, building, reviewing, testing, and deployment.
* Write and update thorough technical documentation.
Skills and Experience
If you are applying to this position, these are the expected proficiencies:
* Master’s degree or PhD in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Robotics, or any similar fields.
* Working knowledge and understanding of FPGA technology and its tools.
* Good programming skills in C/C++ and Python programming in embedded environment.
* Understanding of low-level Linux architecture and embedded Linux build environments (e.g. Yocto or, preferably, Petalinux);
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
* Hands-on experience in full-lifecycle product or technology development.
* Good level of English, both written and spoken.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on entrepreneurial environment.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
* Familiarity with Xilinx Vitis, Vivado and Xilinx FPGAs or MPSoCs (e.g. Zynq UltraScale+).
* Working knowledge on hardware part (circuitry, FPGA designs etc.) and hardware related software parts (e.g. programming test routines for hardware implementation)
* Board debugging skills and board bring up experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is between 27 000€ to 45 000€ per year, depending on experience.
