We are searching for an Senior Application Support for a new project!
Responsibilities:
* Support the business in their IT needs and understand the business workflows and scenarios.
* Maintain proper coverage in their designated shift.
* Voluntarily pick up work and tasks as received over email, tickets or in person.
* Provide business, team members and other project/task partnering teams updates on the issue/task/project.
* Document and train other team members.
* Shadow other team members and seek to learn to improve day-to-day coverage of the platforms.
* Share knowledge within the team and document issues/incidents for better follow-up.
* Improve day-to-day tasks by writing scripts and automating procedure-oriented tasks.
* Contribute towards better post-release checkouts.
* Understand the underlying issue and the associated patch fix/release and identify systemic issues.
* Availability to work during holidays/weekends as per predefined needs and on a rotational basis with the rest of the team.
Requirements:
* Basic knowledge and capabilities in scripting languages, network, Windows, and Linux environments.
* Good level of SQL (Sybase, Oracle or Microsoft) – minimum 2 years of experience.
* Business knowledge: Candidate should be looking to build upon a solid knowledge base in Investment Banking and trade workflow from creation to accounting.
* ITIL understanding is also a plus.
* Knowledge of Unix.
* Good level of English.
* Accuracy, reactivity & proactivity, autonomy, and curiosity.
* Interest to learn the business.
* Team spirit.
