Role Overview:
As a Scrum Master at Planet, you will be the driving force behind Agile practices and methodologies, ensuring that teams deliver high-quality products efficiently. Your primary responsibility is to coach and guide cross-functional teams through the Scrum framework, fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing environment. You will remove obstacles, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and ensure that teams adhere to Agile principles to achieve successful project outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, focusing on continuous improvement and maximizing value delivery. With a deep understanding of Agile processes and servant leadership, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing team dynamics and promoting a culture of transparency, accountability, and adaptability.
What you will do:
* Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the team remains focused and productive.
* Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve obstacles or blockers that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Coach and Mentor Teams: Guide the team in understanding Agile principles and Scrum practices, helping them to self-organize and perform at their highest potential.
* Protect the Team: Shield the team from external distractions and unplanned work, ensuring they can focus on sprint goals.
* Foster Collaboration: Encourage open communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders, promoting a healthy, cooperative team dynamic.
* Track Progress and Metrics: Utilize tools such as JIRA to track sprint progress, velocity, and team performance, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
* Promote Continuous Improvement: Drive retrospectives to identify areas for process improvement, ensuring that teams are consistently learning and evolving.
* Facilitate Communication: Act as a bridge between product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear, timely communication and alignment on goals.
Who you are:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of managing Agile teams, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM): Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, with certification from a recognized body.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other tools used for tracking sprint progress and team performance.
* Servant Leader: A natural leader who puts the needs of the team first, fostering a culture of trust, empowerment, and collaboration.
* Excellent Facilitator: Skilled at facilitating group discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution to keep teams aligned and productive.
* Adaptable and Flexible: Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, quickly adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
* Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-Solver: Proactive in identifying potential issues and adept at finding creative solutions to help the team stay on track.
