Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Business Controller to join our client's growing company in Portugal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial health, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective financial control systems and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Complete month-end financial reporting, including management accounts, KPI, and other relevant reports ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness through management of all financial processes and staff;
* Ensure accuracy of accounting including classification, completeness and valuation by continuous management review and testing of controls;
* Cash control on daily basis and monthly cash reconciliation of financial & operational systems;
* Preparation of monthly management reports, monthly reconciliations; revenue, expenses, balance sheet, etc.;
* Providing information or any financial data requested by management as quickly as possible;
* Ensuring cash-flow projection, age analysis, Capex control, etc.;
* Coordinate with external auditors by providing all requested information for the final audit reports;
* Supervise and coordinate with external accounting team, operational teams and projects managers;
* Familiar with financial terminologies such Gross Margin, EBITDA margin, Capex;
* Supervise and control project management, in operational and budgetary terms;
* Supports the different business areas in preparing and controlling the budget;
* Preparation and monitoring of the company's budget;
* Execution of several financial reports for the Management;
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred;
* Proven work experience as a Financial Business Controller or a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment;
* In-depth knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis;
* Strong understanding of local accounting principles and tax regulations;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights;
* Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using spreadsheets and financial software;
* Strong business acumen and ability to align financial objectives with strategic goals;
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels;
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines;
