About the role The R&I team, composed of 6 people, is integrated in the Digital Manufacturing department of the Digital Technology (DT) service and focuses on the Laboratory R&I domain in collaboration with several stakeholders within DT, Global Business Units and our key software editors.As an IT Research & Innovation Technical Analyst, you will drive the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of IT systems supporting business operations through technical needs analysis, detailed specification provision, and effective solution implementation.You will be accountable for:Requirements Analysis & Translation: Gathering business needs, analyzing functional specifications, translating them into technical specifications, and conducting gap analyses.Solution Design & Implementation: Collaborating with architects and software editors, identifying necessary technical changes, and implementing configurations for business-specific applications.Quality Assurance & Documentation: Testing solutions, documenting functional and technical processes, and ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.Technical Support: Managing tickets, delivering the 2nd level application support, escalating complex issues to software editors at the 3rd level, ensuring timely support and service delivery.Contract management: Monitoring the software license consumption and establishing vendor license agreements. Assessing the support needs and structuring appropriate support service contracts.Project management: Managing the projects, acting as a liaison between business and software providers in order to find the appropriate solution to replace existing software (for example: Winsuplab - Solvay home made solution).We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode in Europe, Portugal. Sporadic travelling to the R&I centers in France is required.About you Relevant education degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemical, Research and Innovation (R&I) or a comparable field.Relevant work experience of 3 to 5 years in Business/Technical Analysis, Application Management, Systems Analysis, or Software Engineering.Fluency in English is mandatory. French proficiency is a plus.Skills in managing and analyzing scientific data, and familiarity with cloud-based solutions and analytics tools.Solid foundation in IT, including network infrastructure, databases, software deployment and upgrade.Having a good experience on the development and execution of SQL queries.Understanding Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) platforms, especially Agilab, and their application in laboratory data management is a plus.Behaviors:Rapid Learning and Problem Solving: a strong learning aptitude, an analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical gaps.Detail-Oriented and Accountable: delivering accurate technical specifications with meticulous attention to detail and taking ownership of delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency.Collaborative and Adaptable: thriving in collaborative environments, adapt readily to evolving needs, and utilize a problem-solving approach to deliver robust and user-centric IT solutions.About the pay and benefits Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 35,600€ to 44,500€ (Annual Base), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
