Mission of the Role: Negotiate the best subsystem costs on Visteon current product portfolio. Engagement/Alignment with Product Managers/Architects on advanced product portfolio. Expand supplier relationships with existing and new suppliers, as the commercial and automotive markets merge .
Key accountabilities / How You Will Spend Your Days
1. Lead high value semiconductor suppliers negotiations/selections on RFI’s and RFQ’s.
2. Challenge program specification and assumptions.
3. Driving multisource design options
4. Develop “target cost” utilizing IC cost models, and market intelligence
5. Market test semiconductors components for pre-production and production designs
6. Identify new technologies and suppliers to give Visteon a competitive advantage
7. Coordinate semiconductor roadmaps with product engineering teams for advanced product platforms
8. Lead advanced product platform sourcing events
Key Performance Indicators
9. Contribute to annual corporate savings target.
10. Provide on time quotes for RFI/RFQ’s
11. Leverage IC cost model and identify achievement
12. Develop strong relationships with key cross functional stakeholders.
Key Year One Deliverables:
13. Understand and document product platform architectures.
14. Document semiconductor supply chain on key semiconductors
15. Summarize semiconductor market outlook
16. Develop relationships with semiconductor sales and business unit leaders.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
17. 3 years in responsible roles within an global business environment and procurement/purchasing and/or sales/FAE semiconductor experience
18. Knowledge of the semiconductor industry (Suppliers, Technologies, Components)
19. Strong engagement with commodity procurement, design and product engineering, and supply base supporting product RFI/RFQ
20. Effective presentation skills and Strong communication skills.
21. Experience working at a semiconductor company is desired but not a requirement.
22. Fluent English in written and speaking.
