About the Role
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team in the Lisbon Tech Hub. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing applications in areas such as satellite and drone images processing, industrial monitoring and analytics, power grids optimization, leak detection in pipelines, and many others.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the development of analytic components in industrial systems for computer vision, condition monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, forecasting, signal processing.
* Work with large-scale, versatile, and complex real-world data from industrial facilities to produce innovative algorithms and new types of AI/ML models.
* Explore the untapped potential of big data for design, engineering, and analysis tasks.
* Make fast prototypes, feasibility studies, and devise revolutionary approaches to check new ideas.
* Work jointly with data science and software development teams to create new solutions and products.
* Advance the state-of-the-art in the field, including generating patents and/or publications in top journals and conferences.
Requirements
* Commercial experience (3+ years) in data mining, machine learning, knowledge discovery, artificial intelligence, signal processing, computer vision, and related areas.
* Proficiency with Python, Poetry, and visualization libraries like Bokeh, seaborn.
* Experience with Linux, Docker.
* Proficiency in handling and analyzing large data sets.
* Knowledge of deep learning tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch.
* Great interest and motivation for applied research.
* Good command in spoken English.
