The Role
The
Operational Resilience Lead ensures the company's operational resilience,
maintaining critical operations during disruptions and meeting regulatory
requirements, while thriving in a fast-paced environment and working
independently. This role reports directly to the Head of Technology Governance
and Resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Set
organizational standards for operational resilience, covering areas such as
business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory adherence.
- Partner
with business units and departments to plan and conduct operational resilience
tests.
- Create
strategies to obtain a comprehensive view of operational resilience testing
across the Group.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure resilience measures are in line with
Group policies and standards.
- Detect
vulnerabilities within business units and monitor their resolution.
- Assist
the Head of Technology Governance and Resilience with resilience-related tasks,
including preparing for governance meetings and driving follow-up actions.
- Keep an
eye on emerging threats and trends to proactively adjust resilience strategies.

Organise and lead training and awareness programs for employees on their roles
in maintaining resilience.
- Compile
and present reports and recommendations to senior management regarding
resilience status and improvements.
- Keep
abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to
operational resilience.
Requirements
- Deep
knowledge of industry best practices in operational resilience and familiarity
with regulatory requirements like PRA, FCA Operational Resilience Policy, and
DORA.

Demonstrated experience in delivering operational resilience within regulated
environments.
- Proven
ability to implement operational resilience processes, policies, and practices.
- Skilled
in analysing complex data to identify vulnerabilities and their impact on
business operations.
- Ability
to develop innovative solutions for resilience challenges and adapt to evolving
threats.

Experience in risk assessment and designing comprehensive resilience plans to
protect business operations.

Competence in planning, executing, and monitoring resilience initiatives within
set timelines and budgets.

Familiarity with tools and technologies for risk assessment, incident response,
and business continuity planning.
- Strong
written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey resilience
strategies, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ability
to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement resilience measures and
coordinate response efforts.

Flexibility to adjust resilience plans and strategies in response to changing
business environments and emerging threats.
