Asecco South Eastern Europe Group is looking for a Financial Controller to join the Controlling team in Portugal! This is a brand-new position, so you will have the opportunity to make an impact and develop your own ideas.
Main Accountabilities:
* Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process.
* Input/import data into reporting systems, check and identify anomalies, and track corrections.
* Calculate variances from the budget and participate in interpreting results.
* Prepare ad-hoc reports to support decision-making.
* Participate in integrated financial reporting and ensure the delivery of actual data from the ERP to the group reporting system.
* Coordinate with Accounting to set up the ERP system to ensure consistency with Group requirements.
* Prepare regular and non-regular analyses and explanations as requested by Group Controlling.
* Be part of the Group Controlling organization, share experiences, and cooperate with a team of experienced Financial Controllers across the SEE region.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Master’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Languages:
* English – Advanced level, allowing fluent communication, making presentations, and preparing complex written statements and documents related to the role.
* Portuguese – Advanced level.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Relevant experience in Finance or Controlling (ideally in a multinational environment).
* Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and cost control principles; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
* Understanding of complex reporting structures, financial and accounting principles, budgeting, and analysis.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or CCH Tagetik will be a strong advantage.
* Ability to understand the business substance, curiosity, creativity, out-of-the-box mentality, team spirit, and a proactive attitude.
