Job Title
A Sales Advisor role on a luxury cruise ship, specializing in high-end textiles, perfumes, and cosmetics.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice to demanding customers on our extensive range of brand-name products.
* Ensure merchandise is presented in a way that creates a suitable ambience and pleasant atmosphere.
Duties:
1. Sell and advise customers with good persuasion skills and a friendly attitude.
2. Plan, coordinate, and implement sales-related activities with relevant on-board areas and head office.
3. Develop and implement measures to maximize sales in consultation with head office.
4. Manage and coordinate shop assistants, ensuring a high-quality service and motivating staff.
5. Update and refine merchandise presentation (visual merchandising).
6. Decide which merchandise appears in the shop window and how it's displayed, as well as interior decor.
7. Optimize quality merchandise supply for the shop in correct quantities.
8. Maintain a clean and tidy store and shop.
9. Handle tasks and requests from on shore efficiently.
10. Keep specified statistics, such as sales, staff purchases, and returns.
11. Ensure accurate stocktaking and compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Completed professional training in the service/trade sector or several years' experience in sales.
* Sound commercial knowledge.
* Excellent language skills in German and a sound knowledge of English.
* Extensive PC experience and office organization skills.
* Good general education.
