Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is one of the largest methanol producers in the world. They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world. Responsibilities:
Assist the QSE Director in achieving the department's established objectives.Provide quality assurance support to various company departments, with a particular focus on the EPC department (e.g., reviewing engineering documents, supporting tender development, interpreting codes and standards).Design and implement a Quality Management System for project execution, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.Define and oversee the execution of the Project and/or Site Quality Plan, including issuing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), managing quality control records, and ensuring proper documentation, in collaboration with the Project Manager and QSE team.Prepare and issue quality-related documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Books, Method Statements, NDT Procedures, and Pressure Test Procedures, as per project needs.Approve the qualification of welders and NDT technicians.Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Site Quality Officer.Oversee subcontractors quality management activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.Support the Project Manager in addressing and resolving any quality-related concerns raised by clients.Conduct regular inspections and audits at project sites, including those involving suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.Analyze results from verifications, inspections, and tests conducted during fabrication and site work, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are defined and implemented.Participate in follow-up activities related to the manufacturing of systems and equipment.Manage non-conformity reports, track corrective actions, and maintain communication with the Project Manager and QSE Department.Attend project quality meetings and prepare monitoring reports.Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.Provide training and mentorship to project and site teams on quality-related topics, ensuring that relevant codes, standards, and best practices are understood and applied.Organize and manage the collection of all necessary project documentation for inclusion in the final Customer Technical Documentation.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial plant projects (preferably in sectors such as Power, Oil & Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical).Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in Engineering).Training in ISO 9001:2015 standards.Certification in Welding Coordination.Auditor Training (ISO 19011).Experience in metallic structures is a plus.Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.Language proficiency: English is required; additional languages such as German, Portuguese, or French are advantageous.Strong soft skills, including goal-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively within a team.
