Job Description:
The Production IT Engineer for Aircraft and Engine Components technically ensures a digital, unimpeded, user-centric and cost-efficient process flow for maintenance and repair operations of the start-up of Lufthansa Technik Portugal in accordance with aviation regulations.
Responsibilities and Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
* Support production in implementing standardized processes and business logic into digital solutions for aircraft repairs with the Process Architect and project team (maintenance, engineering, etc.)
* Assist in integrating data-driven services into the digital ecosystem, following IT guidelines
* Provide guidance before troubleshooting and support for IT systems (e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning) and hardware
* Maintain and update dashboards in collaboration with IT providers, aligning with operational needs
* Document changes, assist with user training, and support self-sufficiency
* Analyze processes, contribute to automation efforts, and support continuous improvement
* Support projects with operational and administrative tasks
We are seeking an enthusiastic Production IT Engineer to support digital solutions in aircraft component repairs. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, ensure system reliability, and drive continuous improvement in the aviation industry.
Minimum Requirements:
* Graduate/Bachelor in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or Business IT
* Minimum 1 year of experience in software development or related environments
* Good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills
* Expertise in data, programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, SQL), Cloud technologies (e.g. Openshift) and databases
* Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Power Apps, and low-code tools is a plus
* Basic knowledge in requirements engineering, process modeling and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
