Job Title: Delivery Manager (Microservices Environment, Scrum)
Location: Hybrid (office location: Oeiras)

Introduction: We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of high-quality software products in a microservices-based environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that product releases are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with business goals. As a Delivery Manager, you will work within a Scrum framework, guiding teams and stakeholders through the delivery process, fostering collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and coach cross-functional Scrum teams to successfully deliver software products and features on time and within scope.
2. Ensure Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) are effectively facilitated and continuously improved.
3. Act as the main point of contact for all delivery-related matters, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
4. Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and other internal teams to define, prioritize, and manage the delivery of features and user stories.
5. Promote regular touchpoints between internal stakeholders to share delivery progress, risks, and key milestones.
6. Mentor and support Scrum teams, helping them improve delivery processes, enhance collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Facilitate the identification of bottlenecks and proactively remove obstacles to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
8. Promote the adoption of agile best practices and drive accountability within the teams.
9. Collaborate with the project manager on identifying potential risks and issues affecting delivery timelines, quality, or team performance, and work with teams to address them.
10. Ensure that dependencies across teams or services are managed and communicated effectively.
11. Lead efforts to improve delivery processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance team performance.
12. Promote the use of metrics and data to measure progress, quality, and areas for improvement.
13. Facilitate feedback loops to refine agile practices and continuously improve the team’s approach to delivering value.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in an agile environment, with a strong background in microservices-based architecture.
2. Demonstrated success in leading and delivering software projects using the Scrum methodology.
3. Experience managing cross-functional teams.
4. Experience in working with microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, etc.) is desirable.
5. Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other project management software.
6. Knowledge of microservices design principles, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms is a plus.
7. Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities to guide teams through the Scrum process.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
9. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results despite challenges.
10. High degree of organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines.
11. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
