Your Role in Our Team
As an R&D Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of new products and solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize, design, and implement automation solutions that enhance our portfolio of products and development of new ones.
* Integrate automation solutions with existing equipment and processes.
* Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) programs for automated systems.
* Troubleshoot and optimize PLC and HMI code for optimal system performance.
* Select appropriate sensors, actuators, and control devices for automation projects.
* Ensure seamless communication and integration between different components of the automated system.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and production teams, to ensure successful implementation of automation projects.
* Collaborate with vendors and external partners for the procurement of automation components.
* Conduct thorough testing of automation systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
* Validate automation solutions through performance analysis and optimization.
* Prepare detailed documentation, including system specifications, schematics, and operating manuals.
* Maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in existing automation systems.
* Promote and encourage the incorporation of new technological trends to enhance product performance.
* Design the architecture of the solutions taking into account the project specifications.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* 3-6 years of experience in similar positions.
* Degree in Electrotechnical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
* Master's degree is a plus.
* Programming experience (Tia Portal Siemens) preferably.
* Proficient in PLC programming languages.
* Experience with HMI programming and interface design.
* Strong understanding of control systems, motion control, and industrial automation technologies.
* Familiarity with different communication protocols used in industrial automation.
* Eplan is a plus.
* MS Office.
