Job Description
We are looking for an IT Systems, Firewall, Network & Infrastructure Admin to maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient data & voice communications network. The ideal candidate needs to be capable of deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth IT operation, especially catered towards the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for network designing and implementation, project management.
2. Fully support, configure, maintain, upgrade networks, servers, firewalls, and other IT communications systems, hardware, and related software.
3. Installation and maintenance of security and telecommunication systems and networks.
4. Installing and integrating new IT hardware and applications.
5. Managing the IT infrastructure and coordinating with other departments for business requirements.
6. Configuring, managing, and maintaining network equipment, including network processing, centralized and distributive network connection.
7. SLA management.
8. Experience in making good network documents using Visio or PPT.
Job Brief
1. Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade networks and in-house servers, firewall, PBX systems, and security systems.
2. Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and servers is mandatory.
3. Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
4. Keep an eye on needed system updates.
5. Support and administer third-party applications.
6. Ensure network security and connectivity.
7. Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
8. Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
9. Resolve problems reported by end users.
10. Define network policies and procedures.
11. Specify system requirements and design solutions.
12. Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
13. Vendor coordination to ensure business uptime.
14. Knowledge on voice and data (cross-domain knowledge).
15. Monitoring daily backups.
16. Look out for any vulnerabilities arising through antivirus or malware and take action.
17. Handle daily technical support activities on desktops & laptops, networking, and server log monitoring.
18. Knowledge in Windows Active Directory and File server.
19. Basic troubleshooting in printer and scanner.
20. Knowledge in MS Office 2019, Office 365, and Open Office.
21. Install and perform regular updates on system applications and browsers.
22. L1 support in desktops, laptops, software, and hardware for both internal and onsite clients.
23. Addressing user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues and resolving issues within given SLA.
Requirements
1. Mandatory: Working Visa to Work in Portugal (Obrigatório: Visto de Trabalho para exercer funções em Portugal)
2. 1 to 4 years of experience.
3. Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching (L1, L2, L3, routing protocol, etc.).
4. Firewall operation like web filter, bandwidth management, and implementation of UTM features.
5. Wireless configuration and implementation experience.
6. Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
7. Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
8. Ability to set up and configure hardware (switches, routers).
9. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
10. Should follow ITIL process and meet SLA accordingly.
11. Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
12. Hands-on experience with VoIP/Polycom and other systems.
13. Hands-on experience to configure and troubleshoot switches & routers.
14. Sophos, Cisco, Fortigate, open-source FreePBX, etc.
15. Working knowledge on IDS, IPS, IPsec Tunnel implementation, etc.
16. Handle escalations.
17. Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
18. Develop and manage effective professional working relationships with co-workers and clients.
