In your role you will be responsible for these topics in particular:
Your roleConceptualize, develop and implement high-quality software modules of a leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system to serve our Train Operator customers and the public transportation industry;Enhance existing software modules, test and apply bug fixing methods;Mentor and guide team members in software design and development best practices;Based on your skills and experience, an extensive range of software development tasks in either back end, architecture, full stack development or feature development in close cooperation with the customer will be at your disposal;Create a lasting impact on our future software development within an international environment in times of new work challenges.Your profileDegree in Computer Engineering or similar;Sound knowledge of software development methodologies, algorithms and data structures, design patterns, and architectures;Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional software development;Significant experience using C++ (preferably C++11 and above);Willingness to work with different programming languages preferable;Contribute to build a supportive team culture, where ideas are openly shared and where listening and providing constructive feedback are part of the daily routine;Enjoy helping others and spreading knowledge;Passionate for learning, continuous improvement and building new solutions with high positive impact on the environment and society;Able to communicate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and objective way, to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both in spoken and written English;Experience using agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and tools preferable;Willingness to build up a new development site in an interdisciplinary team and international environment;Experience with database design and optimization (SQL, NoSQL) preferable;Experience with Docker, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools preferable;What do we offer?
