Verisure (known in Portugal as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, innovative, hands-on, and passionate Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services Center Accounting Team, with colleagues in Sweden, Geneva, Madrid, Paris, and Lisbon. The role will report to the SSC Accounting Manager and will be based in Lisbon.
The SSC Accounting function is responsible for providing accounting services to a wide range of legal entities located in Europe, ranging from operational entities to holding entities. This is an exciting newly established role that will be working together with senior professionals across our footprint and interact with local operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow in their role and showcase strong leadership and teambuilding capabilities.

Responsibilities will include, among others:
1. Cost analysis
2. Accruals and Reconciliations
3. Fixed assets
4. HFM, Navision and Oracle reports
5. Point of Contact for internal and external stakeholders
6. Review and assure proper classification of cost center and accounts on Journal Entries
7. Weekly and Month-end closing procedures including Reconciliation report
8. Assist manager and peers on the daily activities
9. Performing ad hoc Accounts Payable and Procurement duties as required
10. Collaboration with local finance specialists to accounting, tax, annual reports etc. to ensure adherence to local legislation

Experience and Qualifications

As a result, we are looking for a self-starter and high potential/top performer individual who will combine leadership and accounting knowledge with a proactive business mindset focused on driving value to the business.
Experienced professional with approx. 10 years track record within accounting in an international environment.
Education degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business with deep understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
Strong interest in accounting.
Good level of written and spoken English (mandatory as all work will be in English).
Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
Methodical and high attention to detail.
Enjoys working with a variety of IT systems.
Organized and with an appetite for improving existing processes.
An enthusiastic and high energy individual with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
