As a key member of the Financial Systems team, the systems manager will play a pivotal role in partnering with the systems Director to set and execute strategy for our growing function. You will collaborate with our Accounting, AP, Tax, Procurement, Internal Controls and FP&A teams, as well as Engineering and IT departments to understand financial processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals through technology solutions.
You will report to the Director, Financial Systems, and be based in our NYC office (flex/hybrid).
You'll Get To…
Strategy:
* Lead initiatives to establish a robust foundation for scaling the Financial systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency in financial operations, including but not limited to system implementations, enhancements and maintenance.
* Partner with the Director to create the roadmap for all Financial Systems, ensuring initiatives and investments are closely aligned with Financial goals and business value, and the broader company plan and product roadmap.
* Provide standardized and optimized intake process, complete transparency for prioritization, execution, and implementation.
* Manage priorities, trade-offs and risks in a multi-project environment and ensure execution with value-add in mind.
Leadership and Management:
* Lead and mentor a team of IT specialists, business analysts, or system administrators fostering their professional development.
* Delegate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Ensure regular feedback is provided to facilitate growth and maintain a high level of performance.
* Provide training and support to finance team members and other users on financial systems and tools.
Project Management:
* Establish strong partnerships with leaders and cross functional teams to help drive successful implementations, proactively offering recommendations based on best practices and your own experience.
* Lead collaboration with stakeholders for resource and initiative short and long-term planning, including a quarterly roadmap of anticipated deliveries.
* Quickly learn new technologies, think out-of-the-box to find creative solutions, and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to manage system implementation and support.
Technical Knowledge:
* Develop, design and maintain a holistic and long-term architectural strategy for our financial applications ecosystem in relation to providing friction simplification to business processes at Squarespace.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on Financial technology, providing guidance, training, and support to Financial teams and stakeholders across the organization.
* Lead efforts to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance of core Financial tools.
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy within financial systems through regular audits and quality checks.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in financial technology to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Who We're Looking For
* Minimum bachelor's degree in Management Systems, IT or Financial. MBA and/or CPA, CIA, PMP.
* Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Financial Systems professional with at least 3 years in a people management capacity.
* Strong proficiency and understanding of ERP technology and Financial systems with proven experience with Netsuite, Workday Adaptive, and/or Coupa.
* Analytical, with a data-driven approach and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
* Project management skills, with experience leading system implementation and upgrade projects.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to financial systems, such as SOX, PCI or GDPR.

Cash Compensation Range: $148,500 – $208,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors. In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
