Intetics Inc., a global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and "all-things-digital" solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
* Shift Left Approach: Experienced with the Shift Left testing methodology, integrating testing activities early in the development lifecycle to identify and fix defects sooner, ensuring a faster feedback loop and fewer surprises at the end. This includes working closely with developers and encouraging them to participate in building tests
* Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications using Playwright, transforming them into end-to-end regression test suites
* API Testing: Automate API testing using Playwright or Postman, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for public and internal APIs
* Manual Testing: Develop and maintain manual test plans for scenarios that cannot be automated
* Test Strategy and Plans: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient execution
* Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, working closely with DevOps to ensure seamless deployment and release processes
* Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using relevant tools, working with developers to ensure timely resolution
* Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the entire team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reinforcing the mindset that quality is a shared responsibility across the team
* Communication: Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals. Build automated reports and dashboards to track testing metrics
* Forward Thinking: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in test automation, proposing innovative solutions to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 8 years in automation testing, ideally within a supply chain environment
* Shift-Left Expertise: Proven experience in implementing shift-left principles, focusing on early defect prevention and close collaboration with development teams
* Automation & Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript scripting, and API testing
* Industry Knowledge: Experience in Transport Management Systems and financial systems is highly desirable
* Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives across the organization
