Overview
We are building a world-class team. As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of an agile project team working with all the infrastructure pieces of a system.
You will write code to provision infrastructures, drive root cause analysis, and ensure you have fun learning and building things.
Guiding the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices is also a key responsibility.
Close contact with CEO, COO, and other client-side stakeholders requires strong English language skills.
National and international travel is expected, with varying frequencies according to project/client and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Bash, or JavaScript
* Manage Linux/Unix systems and identify problem root causes
* Understand how the Internet and Web applications work
* Handle metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and observability
* Utilize configuration management frameworks like Ansible
* Maintain applications in production environments
* Be self-driven and work with minimal supervision towards a common team or company purpose
* Be comfortable with DevOps methodologies and best practices
Requirements
* Experience using Cloud provider AWS
* Setting up CI/CD and AWS networking and accounts experience
* Containers and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker experience
* Solid understanding of CI/CD independently from tools like Github, Github actions, and Jenkins
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and its tools experience, such as Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or CDK
* Monitoring experience, preferably using DataDog or Grafana and/or Kibana
* Automation task scripting experience with languages like Bash, Python, or JavaScript
* Strong English language skills for conversations with C-Level client-side stakeholders
* Humble and motivated attitude with a desire to learn and teach others
* Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision towards a common team or company purpose
