Role
We're on a mission to spread our mission and share our products across the globe! kencko is expanding its reach and now searching for a Sales Director & Key Account Lead, Europe to take on this challenge! You will be responsible for managing and growing partnerships with major European retailers. This role will drive in-store and online sales, ensuring kencko’s presence in key accounts is maximized.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage existing key retail accounts in Europe, understanding their needs and challenges while fostering strong relationships and sales growth.
2. Regularly meet with clients to review account performance, resolve any issues, and explore new business opportunities.
3. Negotiate pricing, terms, and listing agreements with clients, ensuring favorable conditions for both the client and the company.
4. Ensure that all contract terms are fulfilled and deliverables are met within the specified timelines.
5. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, logistics) to ensure smooth execution of contracts and service delivery.
6. Identify new retail opportunities and negotiate listing agreements with top-tier supermarkets and specialty stores.
7. Develop and implement retail-specific promotional campaigns to drive sell-through and align with company goals.
8. Work closely with supply chain, product, and marketing teams to support product visibility and store execution.
9. Track and report on key account performance, including sales revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
10. Prepare and present regular reports to management, highlighting account activity, trends, and forecasts.
11. Develop action plans to address underperforming accounts and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
12. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential opportunities, threats to the business, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills
1. 5+ years of experience in retail account management (FMCG, food & beverage preferred)
2. Proven success in growing sales within major European retailers
3. Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure new listings
4. Familiarity with sales BI tools
5. Data-driven mindset, experience with sales analysis and forecasting
6. Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is highly desired, and other languages are a plus
7. Bonus points: Start-up experience
8. Ability to work from our Cabra Figa office
9. Ability to travel as needed
