An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mid-Senior.NET Developer/DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team within a leading Financial Services client. This role focuses on delivering new business features while driving the company's Agile/DevOps mission.
The successful candidate will work across multiple locations within cross-functional teams and play a key role in the IT Solutions organization.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in .NET development, microservices, and Azure DevOps, along with experience in building and managing web services in both test and production environments. They will contribute significantly to the Agile/DevOps journey, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Development & Leadership: Act as a Senior .NET developer within the squad, leading the development and maintenance of business-critical applications using .NET Framework and microservices with .NET 6 or .NET 8.
Web Service Management: Build, manage, and support web services in test and production environments, ensuring the reliability and scalability of applications.
Containerized Applications: Develop and manage containerized applications using Azure DevOps pipelines, programming and testing microservices in a containerized environment.Security Compliance: Apply security coding standards to ensure that all code adheres to security protocols and standards.
Collaboration & Backlog Management: Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to manage and execute the product backlog.
Operations & System Administration: Perform operations and system administration tasks in line with the DevOps model, ensuring seamless deployment and support.
Solution Design & Support: Design, build, and support IT solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, delivering measurable and high-quality solutions.
Agile/DevOps Contribution: Be a key contributor to the organization's Agile/DevOps transformation, enhancing processes and methodologies.
Scrum Team Participation: Actively participate in a distributed Scrum team, contributing to the development cycle and supporting continuous improvement.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Development:
5+ years of industry experience delivering enterprise solutions using:
.NET Framework, ASP.Net, MVC
C# (version 6 and above)
T-SQL, SQL Server, EF CoreWeb services (RESTful, MVC 5/Core)
Microservices architecture
Containerization & DevOps:
Kubernetes, Docker Swarm (RedHat docker-based images), and containerized application development.
Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, build, and deployment).
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Strong understanding of the SDLC with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
Cloud Technologies:
Azure Cosmos DB / Mongo DBAzure
Function Apps
Core API, ReactJS, React Native
Azure SQL Database
Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working within Agile methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Product Ownership: Exposure to IT product/application ownership concepts.Preferred Experience:Experience in the Financial/Insurance industry.Familiarity with PowerBI is an advantage.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Professional qualifications in Azure DevOps, Agile, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong focus on team dynamics.Ability to contribute across all stages of project work (definition, development, deployment).
A proactive and analytical mindset in solving complex issues.
