POSITION SUMMARY
Manager – Global Security reports into the Borg Warner Corporate Administrative Office. This position has responsibility for fulfilling wide physical security needs which include; risk assessment consultation, investigations of criminal acts or company policy violations, executive protection, critical event management, special event security, loss prevention, and travel security.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The primary duty of the Manager – Global Security is to develop and execute Borg Warner-wide programs, policies, and initiatives related to physical security with the intent of providing a safe and secure workplace environment. Responsibilities include:
Responsible management of contractual partnerships of service providers within the field of physical security to include; guard force management, security technology, investigations, executive protection, crisis management, and travel security.Develop and maintain physical security related policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and related documentation.Frequent engagement with Borg Warner business units and local site leadership to properly understand their current and future security concerns and needs.Appropriate use of internal communication channels (i.e., intranet webpages, shared network drives, and message blogs) to share and promote security related content.Maintain open lines of communication and alignment between CAO functional units, especially during events or projects which require teams to collaborate and support each other.Diligent administration of the annual budget allocation.Remain accessible 24x7x365 and provide leadership to the Critical Event Management Team, including the establishment of proper procedures and ensuring that functional team members are identified and appropriately trained.Subject matter expert of case management for internal investigations regarding loss prevention, workplace violence, vandalism, sabotage, fraud, compromised proprietary information, misconduct, and other similar events that are either criminal or a violation of corporate policy or ethics.Provision of personal protection of company executives, Board of Directors, and other individuals as assigned.Special event security planning and management.Routine site visits of company locations for the purpose of assessing physical security vulnerabilities, recommending corrective actions, and partnering with site stakeholders to resolve identified issues.Serves as liaison with community, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.QUALIFICATIONS
Education – Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred; CPP or industry equivalent preferred.
Work Related Experience – 4-years of responsible experience in corporate security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or industry related field. Thorough knowledge of corporate security operations, including interdependencies with key business partners such as risk management, legal, human resources, information technology, and facilities management. Experience managing third-party contracts and accountability for quantifiable results.
Availability – must have ability to work flexible schedule. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays. 24x7x365 call for security and emergency event response.
Strong organizational skills - detail oriented, ability to prioritize and be proactive. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Flexible, able to deal with change. Impeccable attention to detail.
Working Conditions – 20-40% travel, including both domestic and international. Primary working location is considered "remote", meaning the candidate will primarily work out of a home office, duties require frequent site visits to offices, technology centers, manufacturing and distribution facilities.
