Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.
Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Lead quality improvements projects inside the Industrial Business Unit.
2. Responsible for Cost of Poor Quality for the entire value chain of the Industrial Business Unit.
3. Conduct the analysis of COPQ in all areas: Plants, Warehouses, and distribution centers.
4. Lead the CoPQ root causes analysis with the multidisciplinary team (Supply chain, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Sales, Product Management), propose corrective actions and measure their effectiveness.
5. Use different problem-solving tools and methodologies during the investigation processes: 6 Sigma, Ishikawa, IS/IS NOT, 5 why’s.
6. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing CoPQ.
7. Lead the CoPQ harmonization projects: Data collection, Data reporting, Data analysis, procedure, and guidelines elaboration.
8. Ensure training and guidance for all manufacturing plants and distribution centers about all released initiatives.
9. Share periodically the progress of all initiative’s status.
10. Perform several audits to verify the right implementation of all guidelines and initiatives and follow up on the action plan.
11. Benchmarking with other TE’s BU and the market to bring new quality improvements initiatives.
12. Lead/support in quality improvement projects.
13. Perform Kaizen events.
What your background should look like:
1. Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or industrial engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment such as: Continuous improvement specialist, Customer/Manufacturing Quality specialist.
3. Proven experience working with SAP.
4. Proven experience in project management.
5. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
6. Mastery of problem-solving tools & methodologies: 8D Process, Ishikawa, 5 why’s, IS/IS NOT, Kaizen.
7. Fluency in written and spoken English.
8. Basic knowledge in Finance and Supply chain fields.
9. Good knowledge in SAP.
10. Team player.
11. Results oriented.
12. Problem solver.
