Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a person to be responsible for analyzing, designing and recommending improvements to manufacturing lines in an innovation project in the automotive industry.
This person will be able to evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to industrial processes in order to study and implement manufacturing line innovations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from conception to start-up and certification;
* Evaluate existing processes, take measurements and interpret data;
* Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and production quality;
* Analyze production systems, logistics flows and identify production bottlenecks and blockages;
* Collect time and production process data to support simulation;
* Plan and simulate processes;
* Manage cost and time constraints;
* Carry out risk assessments;
* Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical, Process or Production Engineering;
* Master's degree is valued;
* Proven experience of working in process engineering;
* Experience in discrete simulation and process planning software, such as Plant Simulation (Tecnomatrix) or Flexsim;
* Experience in innovation projects;
* Knowledge of standards related to the manufacturing process of automotive products;
* Working knowledge of process engineering software packages;
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and WCM;
* Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills;
* Languages: Portuguese or/and English.
