As a Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data models that facilitate seamless data integration, accessibility, and governance within our organization's data infrastructure.Design and develop scalable and efficient data models to support our data management initiativesCollaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into optimal data structuresEnsure data models align with organizational data governance policies and data catalog standardsAnalyze existing systems and define data migration strategies to maintain data integrity and consistencyMaintain comprehensive documentation of data models, definitions, relationships, and metadataOptimize data models for performance and scalability within our data warehouse environmentParticipate in data quality assessments and contribute to establishing best practices for data managementProvide expertise in resolving data-related issues and recommend improvementsWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data models meet business objectives and compliance requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related fieldProven experience in data modeling, data architecture, or related fieldsStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and relational databasesExperience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery)Proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar)Familiarity with data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, or Apache Atlas)Knowledge of data governance principles and best practicesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teamsExperience with data quality assessment techniques and toolsFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker)Fluency in English is required; Spanish and Portuguese are a plusPreferred Qualifications:Experience in data migration from legacy systems to modern data platformsUnderstanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)Experience with Agile methodologies and working in dynamic, fast-paced environmentsFamiliarity with data integration tools and ETL processesAdditional InformationWhy Fusion?
